What Is Plume (PLUME)?

Bringing Real-World Assets On-Chain

One of the fastest-growing trends in crypto is the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). This means taking traditional assets—like real estate, credit products, or commodities—and turning them into blockchain-based tokens that can be traded, borrowed against, or used in decentralized finance (DeFi).

Plume is a blockchain project designed around this idea. Its goal is to bridge traditional finance with Web3 by making RWAs as easy to use as cryptocurrencies. The network already integrates with more than 200 protocols, giving users access to tokenized credit, ETFs, treasuries, and even real estate.

On Plume, users can earn yield from tokenized assets, use property or commodities as collateral, or invest in structured vaults with different risk profiles—all within a compliant, EVM-compatible blockchain environment.

How Plume Works

The Plume Portal

The Plume Portal is the hub for everything in the ecosystem. It functions as a dashboard where users can bridge tokens across chains, stake assets, swap tokens, and monitor earnings. Gamified features like referral programs, leaderboards, and daily spins add a community-driven layer that makes the experience interactive.

Plume’s internal bridge, Relay, powers cross-chain functionality, enabling seamless transfers across multiple blockchains in a single transaction.

Stablecoin and Liquid Staking Tokens

  • Plume USD (pUSD): The network’s native stablecoin is backed 1:1 with USDC, making it transparent and stable. Users can mint or redeem pUSD without fees, and its reserves are managed by the Nucleus vault system to guarantee full collateralization. While pUSD itself doesn’t generate yield, yield-bearing versions are planned.
  • Plume ETH (pETH): A liquid staking derivative of ether. When users mint pETH, their ETH is staked on Ethereum mainnet, and a yield-bearing token is issued back to Plume. Rewards accrue automatically, and the token can also be deployed across DeFi as collateral.

Yield Vaults

Plume offers several professionally managed vaults, designed for both conservative and higher-yield strategies:

  • Market-neutral vaults: Aim for steady returns regardless of market swings, often by combining tokenized treasuries with regulated trades.
  • Diversified liquid vaults: Blend tokenized assets for higher yield while keeping strong liquidity.
  • ETF-based vaults: Provide exposure to credit strategies like senior loans and treasuries through U.S.-listed funds.

These vaults bring Wall Street-style investment tools directly into DeFi, opening access to products once reserved for institutions.

Compliance by Design

Unlike many blockchain projects, Plume builds compliance into its core. Transfers undergo AML (anti-money laundering) screening at the sequencer level, and partnerships with blockchain analytics firms help track sanctions and suspicious activity. This setup is meant to reassure regulators and attract institutional players who need assurance that tokenized assets meet global compliance standards.

The PLUME Token

The PLUME token powers the network. Its uses include:

  • Paying gas fees for transactions.
  • Staking to secure the network and earn rewards.
  • Governance through delegation and voting.
  • Incentives for referrals, quests, and community participation.

Staked tokens require a 21-day unbonding period, a safeguard designed to keep the network stable.

PLUME on Binance HODLer Airdrops

On August 18, 2025, Binance announced PLUME as the 32nd project in its HODLer Airdrops program. A total of 150 million tokens—1.5% of the supply—were distributed to BNB holders who subscribed to Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields products. Following the airdrop, PLUME was listed with the Seed Tag, available for trading against pairs including USDT, USDC, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY.

Closing Thoughts

Plume positions itself as more than just another blockchain—it’s aiming to make real-world assets usable in the same way we use stablecoins or ETH in DeFi. With compliance baked in, yield strategies accessible to both retail and institutions, and tokens like pUSD and pETH expanding its toolkit, Plume is betting on a future where RWAs flow across blockchains as easily as crypto.
