tZero Eyes 2026 IPO as Tokenized Securities Market Expands Worldwide

tZero Group Inc., a leading force in blockchain-based securities, is gearing up for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2026, CEO Alan Konevsky announced. The company, which operates a digital marketplace for tokenized securities, is currently in talks with investment banks to select underwriters and is also exploring a pre-IPO funding round to bolster its financial foundation.

tZERO resets vision under CEO Konevsky, focusing on regulated tokenized markets, partnerships, and 24/7 trading.

Backed by major investors such as Intercontinental Exchange Inc., tZero is at the forefront of efforts to bring real-world assets—ranging from stocks to real estate—onto blockchain networks. This technology aims to make asset trading more transparent, efficient, and secure. The trend is accelerating: BlackRock introduced a blockchain-based money-market fund last year, and firms like Kraken are launching tokenized equities and exchange-traded funds. According to data from rwa.xyz, about $35 billion in real-world assets are now represented on blockchain platforms.

Founded in 2014, tZero enables companies to raise capital through blockchain while adhering to securities regulations such as Regulation D, which allows private securities sales without a full public registration. Its platform facilitates trading for a small set of tokenized securities, including tZero’s own shares. To date, the firm has raised around $200 million and employs more than 50 staff members, though it has yet to achieve profitability.

tZero’s IPO ambitions reflect a growing movement among blockchain and crypto firms toward the public markets. Competitor Securitize is pursuing a merger with a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC), while Gemini and Bullish have already gone public this year. Kraken, another prominent crypto exchange, is also planning an IPO in 2026.

As blockchain technology continues to merge with traditional finance, tZero’s upcoming public debut underscores the industry’s evolution. The next few years could mark a defining moment for tokenized securities and the broader adoption of blockchain in global financial systems.
