LetsBONK Overtakes Pump.fun in Daily Memecoin Volume and Launches on Solana

A shake-up in Solana’s memecoin ecosystem is underway. LetsBONK, a rising player in the token launch scene, has officially edged out longtime leader Pump.fun in daily volume, memecoin launches, and token graduations for the first time since Pump.fun’s debut in January 2024.

According to dashboard data shared by blockchain analyst Adam_Tehc, LetsBONK recorded approximately 15,600 token launches in the 24 hours leading into Sunday, July 6, outpacing Pump.fun’s 11,500. The momentum continued with 135 tokens “graduating” — completing their launch process — on LetsBONK versus 103 on Pump.fun.

Market share numbers from Solana DEX aggregator Jupiter underscored the shift: LetsBONK captured 49.8% of the memecoin launch market by Sunday afternoon, compared to Pump.fun’s 40.9%. In terms of raw trading activity, LetsBONK pulled in $86 million more in 24-hour volume. Still, Pump.fun saw higher user engagement, with more than double the number of active traders.

“Still a long road ahead to make sure this is a daily occurrence, but the battle is on,” wrote LetsBONK founder Tom (known as @SolportTom on X), acknowledging the milestone. Tom launched the platform in late April with a focus on rapid token launches and support for the Solana-based BONK memecoin.

Unlike its rival, LetsBONK reinvests part of its fee revenue to buy and burn BONK tokens, boosting scarcity and potentially driving value. Additional revenue supports BONKsol — a liquid staking token — and other Solana ecosystem initiatives. As of Monday, BONK’s price had climbed roughly 22% over the past 24 hours.

Adding to its recent momentum, LetsBONK recently concluded submissions for a $200,000 hackathon. The team plans to review entries and distribute prizes in the coming days.

One of the platform’s standout launches, Useless Coin, now holds a market cap near $264 million, according to CoinGecko — a sign that LetsBONK isn’t just producing quantity, but breakout successes as well.

Meanwhile, Pump.fun isn’t standing still. The platform is reportedly pursuing a $1 billion initial coin offering and may soon begin sharing protocol revenue with token holders. The team first hinted at a token launch in late 2024.

For now, LetsBONK has claimed the top spot — but in the fast-moving world of memecoins, leadership can shift just as quickly as it arrives.
