Immutable, a leading Web3 gaming platform, has announced the launch of a dedicated Mobile Gaming Division as it sets its sights on the $121 billion global mobile gaming market.
The new division will focus on bringing blockchain-powered titles to mobile devices, where more than half of the world’s gamers currently play. According to Immutable, mobile gaming already generates over $121 billion annually, making it the single largest segment in the gaming industry.
Driving Web3 Adoption Through Mobile
Immutable’s mobile task force will work with partner studios to accelerate Web3 adoption through mobile-first strategies. The initiative also includes investment support for developers, along with efforts to integrate on-chain features and forge partnerships with publishers and app stores.
“Mobile is the single largest opportunity in gaming, with over half of the world’s gamers now playing on their phones,” said Robbie Ferguson, Immutable’s co-founder. “Since April, Immutable has already helped propel three games to the #1 spot on mobile charts such as the App Store and Google Play.”

The company sees this mobile-first strategy as a key step toward onboarding the next billion players into the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
Building Momentum with Key Milestones
Immutable has been expanding rapidly since its founding in 2018. The company has rolled out several major products, including:
- Immutable Chain: A scalable Ethereum layer-2 network.
- Immutable Passport: A gaming wallet designed to simplify user onboarding.
- Immutable Play: An engagement platform for Web3 titles.
In the past year alone, Immutable has listed more than 180 new games, supported the expansion of traditional Web2 titles into blockchain gaming, and secured partnerships with major centralized exchanges and stablecoin providers.
Regulatory progress has also cleared a path for growth. With the resolution of an SEC legal hurdle and new clarity from legislation such as the CLARITY Act, Immutable believes the conditions are in place for Web3 gaming to achieve mainstream traction.
The Bigger Picture
The launch of the Mobile Gaming Division reflects Immutable’s long-term strategy: to position itself at the center of gaming’s next evolution. By focusing on mobile, the company hopes to not only capture a massive market opportunity but also redefine how players interact with blockchain-powered games.
As the industry continues to grow, Immutable’s investments in talent, products, and partnerships aim to ensure it stays ahead of the curve.
