CMB International Launches First Regulated Tokenized USD Money Market Fund on Solana

CMB International Asset Management (CMBIAM) and Singapore-based real-world asset (RWA) exchange DigiFT have introduced the CMB International USD Money Market Fund as a tokenized investment product, marking the first publicly offered money market fund on Solana to receive recognition from regulators in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

The fund, ranked first among Asia-Pacific peers by Bloomberg as of July 31, is available exclusively to accredited investors in Singapore via DigiFT’s platform. It is now accessible across four major blockchain networks — Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Plume — providing multi-chain interoperability for greater investor flexibility.

Bringing traditional finance on-chain

Under the partnership, CMBIAM manages the underlying fund while DigiFT oversees on-chain issuance and distribution. OnChain, a Solana-based RWA service provider, supports blockchain integration.

A standout feature of the product is its multi-modal transaction capability. Investors can subscribe or redeem units using traditional fiat or blockchain-based stablecoins. Real-time liquidity is enabled through DigiFT’s smart contracts, allowing instant on-chain redemption rather than waiting for end-of-day processing or manual settlement cycles.

Part of a growing Solana trend

CMBI’s launch comes amid a wave of major money market funds entering Solana. Franklin Templeton’s OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX), originally on Stellar, expanded to Solana earlier this year, joining multiple other chains. BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, managed with tokenization platform Securitize, also arrived on Solana in March, becoming the largest tokenized treasury product globally with a market cap exceeding $1.7 billion.

Solana to USD Price

By being the first regulated public offering of its kind on Solana in the Asia-Pacific region, CMBI’s move not only expands investor access but also strengthens the network’s foothold in regulated markets.
